Regular and Irregular Verbs

It’s time to post again after one day break. This time after giving you Verb, we have Regular and Irregular Verbs to learn.

1. Regular Verb
Regular Verb is verb with regular changes by adding “d or ed” to infinitive to make it second (Verb2) and third forms of verb (Verb3). Here are some examples of regular verbs:

Study              Studied        Studied
Try                 Tried           Tried
Stay                Stayed         Stayed
Play                Played         Played
Fix                 Fixed           Fixed
Deliver            Delivered     Delivered

Note:
- If infinitive ending in e, just add d for instance: Like - Liked
- If infinitive ending in y preceded by a consonant, change y into i then add ed for instance: Study - Studied
- But if infinitive ending in y preceded by vowel, just add ed straightly for instance: Stay - Stayed
- Beside those rules all verbs add ed for instance: Fix – Fixed

2. Irregular Verb
Irregular Verb is verb with irregular changes from infinitive to second (Verb2) and third forms of verb (Verb3) of it. Here are some examples of irregular verbs:

Infinitive    Past      Participle
Buy                Bought       Bought
Sit                 Sat            Sat
See                Saw          Seen
Write              Wrote        Written
